Amkodor Holding, Belarus' leading heavy equipment manufacturer, signed several contracts worth $400 million during the recent visit by President Aliaksandr Lukashenka to China.

According to Amkodor's Innovation and Investment Projects Director Ihar Kayuda, three contracts were inked, including the one worth nearly $230 million to build an Amkodor-MAS plant. Two more contracts envisage upgrading of two factories in Kobryn and Homiel.

Amkodor's press office notes several more joint manufacturing ventures with direct investments from China can be set up in Belarus in the near future. The holding consists of over two dozens enterprises that produce a wide range of heavy-duty machines and special equipment used in construction, utilities, agricultural and forestry sectors.
