Pre-election agitation starts today

The presidential candidates can organize pickets, paste agitation posters and meet voters.

The pre-election agitation will start in Belarus today, on September 11. The Central Election Committee registered four candidates yesterday: Syarhei Haidukevich,Tatstsyana Karatkevich, Alyaksandr Lukashenka and Mikalai Ulahovich.

The candidates will be able to organize pre-election pickets and paste posters in special places. Printed agitation materials will be pasted on special stands, in healthcare institutions and in other organizations if the administration allows it. It will also be possible to paste agitation posters on information stands near blocks of flats.

The candidates will need to apply for pickets and meetings and will be able to organize them in any places meant for it. They can also meet with voters.

The presidential election will be held in a month – on October 11.
