"This appointment shows that Belarusian authorities is going to hold elections by scenario of previous years: there will be falsifications, difficulties in candidates' registration, unequal access to agitational resources".
That's how co-chairman of the organizing committee for creation of the Belarusian Christian Democracy party, Vitaly Rymasheuski commented to UDF.BY on the appointment of Lydia Yermoshina as the head of Central Election Commission for the next five years.
According to politician, an appointment of unsinkable Yermoshina, "of course, is one of the factors that affects the participation in elections of not only the BCD, but all democratic parties".
"In today's conditions, there is no reason to participate in parliamentary elections. Political campaign is not to be carried out. Another question is: whether it will be a campaign of participation or boycott. Most likely, it will be the boycott campaign. And, it is important. that this decision is accepted by all opposition parties, without exception", Vitaly Rymasheuski said.
