From the beginning of the year Belarusians decreased by 6700

The population in Belarus on May 1, 2012 amounted to 9 458 500 people and compared with the beginning of this year decreased by 6.7 thousand.

As the data of the National Statistics Committee informs, on January 1, in the country 35,056 people were born, and died - 43 166. Thus, the natural decline in population amounted to 8110 persons.

At the same time, in Belarus the population growth caused by migrating amounted to 1482 people, as from the beginning of the year 4463 person arrived in the country and 2981 left.
