Belarus to receive $1bn credit at the beginning of June

Belarusian member of the Eurasian Economic Commission Council Syarhei Rumans has announced it.

The credit will be allocated by Russian Bank VTB, he said. The money will arrive within 10-14 days.

The December credit will be prolonged until September, Rumas noted (Belarus received $40 million from Russia at the end of 2013). “We expect to reach an agreement on the allocation of a $2 bn interstate credit by then,” BELTA quotes Rumas.

Alyaksandr Lukashenka reached an agreement about the $2 bn credit with Russia during his recent visit to Moscow. They money was supposed to be allocated in May.
