Moscow: Belarusian nuclear power plant 'on schedule'

The construction of the Belarusian NPP performed by Belarusian and Russian specialists is conducted according to the schedule, Vladimir Putin claimed on December 15. The NPP issue was touched upon during Vladimir Putin and Alyaksandr Lukashenka’s negotiations in Moscow.

The first power unit of the Belarusian NPP is supposed to be launched in 2018 and the second one – in 2020, Putin reminded. It is the most important Belarus-Russia investment project, he said.

The nuclear power station is being built in Astarvets District, Hrodna Province.
