IMF loan delayed for Belarus, talks to continue in April

Euroradio

Belarus expects to continue negotiations with the International Monetary Fund in Washington in April. Our country is still hoping to get a $3bn credit, senior deputy Minister of Economy Alyaksandr Zabarouski said on Thursday. It means that Belarus will not get the IMF credit this month.

The final decision about the Eurasian Development Fund’s credit has not been made either ($2bn). The support o Belarus’ international reserves depends on these credits, he stressed. It will help decrease the expected inflation and lending rate for the real sector of the economy.
