Belarus and Russia fail to agree on gas prices, negotiations continue


The negotiations will continue, Russian vice PM Arkadi Dvorkovich said.

Russia is not ready to decrease the gas prices, deputy Russian Minister of Energy Anatoli Yanovski said on April 9. Gazprom thinks that a decrease in gas prices for Belarus would be unreasonable, the company deputy CEO Valeri Golubev said.

Belarus considers the price of $80 for 1000 cubic meters of gas to be fair, Belarusian PM Andrei Kabyakou announced. According to Gazprom, Belarus pays $132 dollars for 1000 cubic meters of gas now.
