In Belarus, inflation over the period of 3 months amounted to almost a half of the year prognosis

Consumer prices in Belarus over the period of January-March 2015 have risen by 5.7 per cent while the yearly forecast is 12 per cent.

According to the data of the National Statistical Committee of the Republic of Belarus, consumer price index for goods and services in March 2016 as compared with February 2016 was 100.8% and 105.7% as compared with December 2015.

Core inflation (the CPI excluding price changes for goods and services which are under impact of administrative and seasonal factors) in March 2016 as compared with February 2016 was 101% and 104% as compared with December 2015.

In March 2016 prices for foods went up by 0.7% from February 2016 and by 10.6% from March 2015. Prices for non-foods rose by 1.2% and 10.9% respectively. The index of prices for and tariffs on paid services totaled 100.6% as against February 2016 and 121.9% in comparison with March 2015.
