Minsk losing foreign investment

Over the last six months, foreign investments in the economy of Minsk have fallen by 20%.

In the first half of 2016 the major investments in Minsk organizations came from Russian economic entities(50.4% of all investments received), the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (28.1%) and Cyprus (6.9%).

In general, in January-June 2016 the real sector of Minsk economy (excluding banks) received from foreign investors $3.4 billion of investment, Central Statistical Office of the capital reports.

In the first half of 2015, foreign investors put into in the real sector of the economy of Minsk $4.3 billion. Thus, this figure has decreased by 20.93% in the last year.
