Belarus will pay arrears for Russian gas on October 21, Belarus Energy Minister Uladzizmir Patupchyk told journalists in the Russian city of Ufa. He also said that Russia would resume crude oil supplies in full today.

Belarus National Bank head Pavel Kalaur said on October 19 in Minsk that the country had all necessary resources to pay for Russian gas.

Under the Belarus-Russian recent deal to resolve the price crisis, Belarus was to wire $281 million to pay arrears for the already supplied Russian gas. This money was reserved in the budget. Through July 1, 2019 the price will be calculated as based on the formula when crude oil at the Belarus-Russian border will cost $132 per 1000 cubic meters, reminds BelaPAN.
