Belarus Ministry of Taxes and Levies wants to reduce taxes for the gambling industry.
It has to take this step due to a decrease in the number of gambling houses, said Deputy Minister of Taxes and Levies Uladzimir Mukvich.
According to him, the payments in this area depend on the visits to the establishments.
“Now we are actively working on the proposals for the next year. This year, the we can no longer change the tax,” said the Deputy Minister.

“There has been a significant decrease in the number of facilities subject to taxation, which, of course, worries us. But mostly it is connected not with changes in tax legislation, but a certain decline observed in this area. On behalf of our Ministry, we will offer the Finance Ministry to index the tax rate of these facilities (gambling establishments) in a smaller amount than anticipated, ” said Mukvich.
