How Expensive Is Life In Belarus? It Overtook All Eurozone Countries
Belarus’s annual inflation rate has overtook all Eurozone countries, the statistical office of the European Union Eurostat reports.

Life has improved, comrades. Life has become more joyous!

Prices for goods and paid services in Belarus are growing slowly than predicted by the government.

Belarus inflation rate was 3,9% for the last 10 months. In October, prices increased by 1.2% compared to the same period last year by 5.3%.

Paid services went up by 9.7% in October this year, in comaprison to the same period last year.

Food prices rose 5.5% and non-food products by 2.2%. Belarus’s annual inflation overtook all countries of the Eurozone.

In Russia annual inflation in October was 2.7%, in Ukraine – 14.6%.

Most noticeably, the prices rose in Lithuania (4.2%), Estonia (4%), Great Britain (3%), Czechia (2.8%), Latvia (2.7%), Austria (2.3%) and Hungary (2.2%).

In general, euro area annual inflation was 1.4% in October 2017, down from 1.5% in September

EU annual inflation was 1.7% in October 2017, down from 1.8% in September. A year earlier the rate was 0.5%.

The lowest annual rates were registered in Cyprus (0.4%), Ireland, Greece and Finland (all 0.5%).

The highest annual rates were recorded in Lithuania (4.2%), Estonia (4.0%) and the United Kingdom (3.0%).

In Germany annual inflation was 1.5%, in Italy – 1.1%, in France – 1.2%, and in Poland – 1.6%.

For comparison, inflation in Canada was 1.4%, in the USA – 2%, and in India – 3.6%.
