Belarus minister 'satisfied' with buying 10 times more than selling in China

Belarus-China turnover has increased by almost 100 times over 25 years and totaled almost $3 billion in 11 months of 2017, Minister for Foreign Affairs Uladzimir Makei said.
"We are satisfied with the state of affairs. However, there is no reason to stop. There are still a lot of opportunities and a lot of spheres for growth,” Makei noted.
Why is the Belarusian Minister for Foreign Affairs happy? National statistics agency Belstat’s website contains information on Belarus-China trade for 10 months of 2017. China sold to Belarus… 10 times more than Belarus sold to China – $2.2 billion and $272 million respectively.
Belarus’ trade balance with China is -$1.9 billion.
