Euroradio

The Presidents of the Customs Union member states will discuss the tactics of joining the World Trade Organization (WTO) in Astana on July 5. The senior vice Prime Minister of Russia Igor Shuvalov has claimed it.

RIA "Novosti" informs that Customs Union member states agreed to continue negotiations about membership in the WTO on their own while coordinating their positions.

Shuvalov hopes that Russia will join the WTO by the end of the year because the negotiations will take a few months. According to him, the Customs Union of Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia corresponds to all WTO norms and main principles of the European Union so Russia is going to be "a bridge for Kazakhstan and Belarus".
