The Russian Sanitary Service have complaints about the quality of Belarusian dairy products.

This remark was made by Gennady Onoshchenko, Russia's chief sanitary inspector and the head of the Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection, Interfax news agency reports.

"240 samples of Belarusian dairy products were tested in the Moscow region. 72 samples, or 30%, do not comply with the quality and safety regulations," the chief sanitary inspector said.

He expressed the hope that Belarus "will take measures in accordance with the arrangements we reached in early August during the visit of the Belarusian delegation to Moscow".

"We expected an appropriate reaction to determine Russia's further actions," he said.

"We have to state that we have lately recorded facts of selling the products failing to meet the requirements of article 36 of the technical regulations for milk and dairy products in the regions, main consumers of Belarusian products and mostly dairy products," Onishchenko said.
