The full list of the most influential Belarusian businessmen has been released.

It was posted on the website Yezhednevnik.

Most businessmen in the ranking live in the Belarusian capital or in close proximity to Minsk. About 20 people are from the country's regional centres and 10 people are from district centres. About a dozen businessmen have residences outside Belarus.

Yezhednevnik notes the growing globalisation of business. Interests of Belarusian businessmen lie in Russia, the CIS countries, the EU and the US. The Belarusian business steps up its presence in all continents. Arbuzov, Kostevich, Shiripov, Antonovskaya have subsidiaries in Asia, Sumaneev and Shichko have sewing business in China, etc. Viktor Kisly's Wargaming has been working in Australia since 2012. Offices of companies belonging to Shevtsov, Voinich, Khasanshin opened in South America, Dichkovsky and Zisser work in Africa.

"2013 was a special year for the Belarusian business. The cooperative movement in the former USSR started 25 years ago in May. It was the starting point for many businesses that exist today," the authors of the ranking say.

Oligarchs Yuri Chizh and Anatoly Ternavsky, who are banned from entering the EU, are among the top 10 businessmen. Vladimir Peftiev, who was number 1 last year, is ranked 12.
