Ukraine and Belarus guarantee loans repayment irrespective of probable shifts in power, RIA Novosti quotes Dmitry Medvedev.
'Strictly speaking, friends and partners will give us sovereign guarantees for the loans. Whoever becomes President of Ukraine or Belarus in the future, we will generally be able to pursue paying the money back by all means available. They stake their countries' property for these loans,' the Prime Minister told journalists on Friday.
It is to be recalled that The Russian government will provide up to $2 billion in a loan to Belarus in 2014. The loan is expected to be issued for a period of up to 10 years.
