The National Statistical Committee (Belstat) has revised upward slightly its GDP growth figure for the third quarter of 2013. Last year, Belstat announced that Belarus' Gross Domestic Product increased by 0.7 percent year-on-year from from July through September. On January 4, Belstat said that it had revised the growth figure to 0.8 percent. Belstat explained that the previous figure was a preliminary estimate based on "statistical examinations, expert opinions and indirect calculations."
