German company to supply exclusive tableware to Independence Palace in Minsk

German company Falkenporzellan has been selected by the Minsk City Executive Committee to supply around 7,000 exclusive tableware items to the newly built Independence Palace.

When reached by BelaPAN, a representative of the company said that all of the items would have to bear the Belarusian state emblem.

He said that the company was expected to sign a contract with the Belarusian government at an exhibition called Ambiente 2014 in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, in early February.

Falkenporzellan is known worldwide for exclusive and valuable tableware decorated with extraordinary hand-painted designs using precious metals such as 24-carat gold and platinum.

The Independence Palace is a pompous, lavishly furnished structure on Victors Avenue that has repeatedly received praise from Alyaksandr Lukashenka and has been described by him as a symbol of Belarus' independence.
