A week ago the Minsk police said they detained a resident of Pryzhany district who allegedly took part in combat actions in the east of Ukraine. TV channel Belarus 1 has reported his story in detail.

The 29-year-old native of the town of Pruzhany had been fighting for the unrecognised Donetsk republic over a year. He claims that being a grenade launcher operator he killed about 100 persons. The man (nom-de-guerre ‘Taras’) received Novorossiya’s and DPR’s war decorations ‘For Combar Service’, ‘For Vlaour and Courage’.

Footage seized from him shows the Belarusian and his comrades-in arms talkning about the NSV machine gun.

‘It is the thing that gives us a living,’ these words supposedly belong to the Belarusian.

According to the Interior Ministry, about 130 Belarusian citizens are perticipating in the conflict in the neighboring country.

Last week Belarusian president Alyaksandr Lukashenka ordered his special services to ‘explain the matter’ to Belarusians fighting in Ukraine on the both sides of the front.
