Zhodzina factory Svitanak has stopped producing T-shirts with the inscription ‘Jerk’ after a scandal in social networks. Their translator (they call him ‘an experienced linguist’) chose the word because it means ‘a jump’. However, Facebook users noted that the work also meant ‘a bastard’ and ‘a retard’.
The translator did not know this meaning, the factory marketing department explained to marketing.by. The T-shirt will not be produced anymore.
