Walking in Victory park in Minsk has become more enjoyable – 12 huge art objects appeared on one of the islands on Thursday.
The project “Art Island” has been running in the capital for several years. This time it is devoted to the 950th anniversary of Minsk.
The installations were created by Belarusian and foreign artists and sculptors from wood, plastic and metal.
Some art objects are higher than 5 meters!
The organizers said this year’s edition is really large-scale.
Sculptures occupy almost the whole territory of the island and weigh several dozen tons.
The heart of the exposition is a sculpture of two knights, participants of the Battle of Nemiga – the first mention of Minks in historical chronicles.
The entrance to the exposition is free. It will be working till the middle of September, the organizers said.
Where: Victory Park, the island of Komsomoltsev (to the left of the central entrance).
