Police to punish artist over naked performance act

The police are investigating the incident involving artist Alyaksei Kuzmich who came to his exhibition at the National Museum of Modern Art naked. His privates were hidden behind a tablet with the inscription “Ministry of Culture”.
Kuzmich explained it was an act of protest agianst censorship by the Ministry of Culture.
Kuzmich’s act ‘insulted the ministry of Culture,’ representatives of the National Center for Modern Art said in a statement, adding that he also did damage to ‘the business reputation’ of the center.
The police will assess the artist's actions.
The National Center has nothing to do with the action and ‘condemns any actions resulting in cynical disrespect for society and state institutions,’ its representatives said.
