All 25 initiative groups of “A Just World“ Party are registered

District election commissions registered all 25 initiative groups of candidates from the Left Belarusian Party "A Just World". The party's spokesman Sergei Wozniak informed BelaPAN.

According to him, the whole process of candidates' nomination will be managed by the Party Congress to be held in Minsk on August 5. "It will nominated about 40 party members. The figure can vary up to Congress' start, someone might change their minds, while others, on the contrary, express the wish to participate", said Wozniak.

He noted, all 25 initiative groups have already started collecting signatures for nomination of their candidate for deputy. "The main method - bypassing apartments. But the pickets to collect signatures party activists will held", Wozniak informed.

"The Electoral Code allows a candidate to be nominated in several ways: both from the party and from the labor collective, and by collecting signatures. I believe, the candidates who do right are those using the maximum number of options. Collecting signatures is to introduce voters with the prospective candidate. Therefore, Party's Central Committee recommended applicants to use it along with the nomination form the Party Congress", said Wozniak.

To submit or not the collected signatures for a candidate's registration in district commissions, is "the concern of each candidate", he said. "It's more a technical issue. Political issue is to bypass apartments for a month, to stand in pickets, in order to increase one's image within the area", Wozniak believes.

Parliamentary elections in Belarus will be held on September 23.
