The previous record was set 10 years ago when over 552 thousand people attended matches in Prague and Ostrava, the International Hockey Federation reports on Twitter.
Belarus lost to Sweden in the quarterfinal yesterday – 2:3. The results of the other matches were: USA – Czech Republic 3:4, Russia – France 3:0, Canada – Finland 2:3. Russia and Sweden and the Czech Republic and Finland will play in the semi-final on Saturday.
