Residents of Minsk are bringing flowers to the French embassy in Minsk to pay tribute to the victims of a terrorist attack on the headquarters of French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo in Paris.

Flags are flying at half-staff at the French diplomatic mission in Minsk.

On Wednesday, three masked and heavily armed men burst into Charlie Hebdo’s office and opened fire on its staff members.

The gunmen killed 12 people and injured 11 before fleeing the scene in a getaway car.

The French police have launched a nationwide manhunt to arrest the three suspects, identified as Hamyd Mourad and brothers Said Kouachi and Cherif Kouachi, citizens of France of Algerian origin.

Charlie Hebdo is known for its cartoons lampooning religious figures, including the Prophet Mohammed.
