Two new female candidates for Belarus presidency

CEC has received the documents for registration of nine nominating groups.

Two more candidates for Belarusian presidency have joined the campaign: Zhanna Ramanouskaya and Iryna Pershyna. On July 16, the Central Election Commission accepted documents on the registration of their nominative groups, rec.gov.by reports.

In the political arena, these women are not well known. They have never made public political ambitions. It is not even known what they do and their motives to participate in the current presidential campaign.

Yauhen Naporka us indicated as the head of the Ms Ramanouskaya's nominating group, and it is Maryia Hramtsova who heads the Pershyna group.

Thus, the CEC has received documents from representatives of nine nominating groups. Earlier, the documents were submitted by President Alyaksandr Lukashenka, the leader of the Liberal Democratic Party Syarhei Haydukevich, Chairman of the Fair World Syarhei Kalyakin, Novopolotsk businessman Andrei Kanavets, a protege of the People's Referendum, Tatstsiana Karatkevich, and UCP leader Anatol Lyabedzka, as well as representatives of political prisoner Mikalai Statkevich.
