Svyatlana Tsikhanouskaya has addressed the security officials recalling the People's Ultimatum. Five days remain until its expiration. According to the politician, representatives of power structures still have time to make a choice and go over to the side of the people.

“You are used to listening to your superiors. But is it worth doing this if it protects not the people of Belarus, but only one person? It's illegal,” she said. There will be no collective responsibility for crimes, says Tsikhanouskaya. There will be no lustration either".

“The responsibility will be borne personally by those who committed the crimes. There will be no sweeping lustration,” the politician said.

According to her, the new Belarus will need its own system of law enforcement agencies. She has called on law enforcement officers to contact her or support funds and publicly support people who come out to protests.

Recently, the highest officials of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have repeatedly declared their readiness to use firearms against the protesters. In particular, senior policeman Mikalai Karpyankou said that “we have not really used force against anyone yet,” and added that in the event of resistance to or an attack on internal affairs officers, the security forces would be forced to use lethals.
