Belarus KGB Chairman: Situation In Country Stabilized, Protests Passed Their Peak
“In Belarus, the situation has stabilized, the protests have passed their peak,” said Chairman of the KGB Ivan Tertel, TASS reports.

“We note that the overall situation has stabilized, the peak has passed, protest manifestations have practically disappeared,” said the chairman of the KGB. At the same time, Ivan Tertel noted that attempts to resume the protests are still being made.

“Overseas centres, which are sponsored and funded by various funds, continue to function, they are radicalized and are still trying to resume these actions that were before,” said Tertel.

He also noted that these attempts will not lead to the desired results, and the situation is assessed as stable. “We do not see any preconditions for saying that they [external forces] will be able to achieve such goals,” summed up the KGB chairman.

Recall that earlier in an interview with Russian journalist Naila Asker-Zade, Lukashenko said that “10,000-12,000 people took to the streets, while they photographed the situation and send photos of ‘200,000 people’ to the telegram channels”
