The United Democratic Forces (UDF) has invited other opposition forces to hold talks about further participation in the local elections.
Under discussion, among other issues, would be a possible withdrawal from the elections, Anatol Lyabedzka, leader of the United Civic Party who co-chairs the UDF, told BelaPAN on Monday following the coalition's board meeting.
"With almost none of our representatives included in election commissions of different levels, the elections increasingly resemble a farce," Mr. Lyabedzka said. "But to make a difference, the decision of pro-democratic forces should be supported by the largest possible number of organizations."
Only 100 of the 912 representatives of UDF member organizations were included in precinct election commissions.
