The Day of Solidarity with families of the missing and with political prisoners is marked in Belarus on November 16. Participants of the action will traditionally gather in Minsk October Square.
According to Radio "Liberty", only one presidential contender has claimed that he will certainly take part in the Solidarity Day – Andrei Sannikau. Yaraslau Ramanchuk is making a tour across the provinces and is not sure whether he will be able to return to the capital in the evening. Uladzimir Nyaklyayeu and Vital Rymasheuski are abroad.
Mikola Statkevich has not taken a decision about his participation yet and Ryhor Kastusyou has claimed that he is against the speculation on the issue of the missing for personal purposes. Ales Mihalevich has informed that he has never taken part in the Day of Solidarity and is not planning to participate in the action today.
