Yermoshina ran into an international scandal

OSCE didn't invite the head of the Central Election Commission of Belarus Lidia Yermoshina to Vienna. This was told to Euroradio by the spokesman of OSCE ODIHR Thomas Rimer.

"I can confirm that Yermoshina registered for the event. But she has not received an invitation from the OSCE. The event is free to the public and for those represent the NDA. Anyone interested can make a contribution, to register online and then attend a conference", he said.

According to Thomas Riemer, about Lydia Yermoshina's Schengen visa "is better to ask the Austrian government, which decides to issue a visa or not". Rymer opined that Lydia Yermoshina and Nikolai Lozovik could get a visa at the Austrian Embassy in Minsk. Interesting, Minsk has only the Austrian consulate, which is not involved in issuing visas.

As previously reported, the banned to enter the EU, chairman of the Belarusian Central Election Commission Lidia Yermoshina, as well as the organization's Secretary Nikolai Lozovik received Schengen visas. As Nikolai Lozovik said, they were officially invited to Vienna to the OSCE conference "Democratic Elections and Election Observation", which will be held on July 12-13.

Later, Nikolai Lozovik refused to go to Vienna. And Lydia Yermoshina said, this year the Central Election Commission set the condition: "either leaders of the CEC from Belarus will participate in the meeting, or nobody".
