The Belarusian state leader has made a speech at the World Congress of Russian Press in Minsk today.

"Belarus is often reproached with absence of freedom of word, - BELTA quotes Alyaksandr Lukashenka as he says. - On the whole, it is ridiculous to claim non-freedom of word with Internet nowadays. Usually, sycophant people say so. They know it for sure that there's no absolute freedom in the world. The one who doesn't depend on the government, depends on the owner of the media, on advertisers, on the public's whims, and finally, on the mistakes and emotions of the journalists."
