Kommersant: Luakshenka’s mustache has gone notably blacker!

Putin and Lukashenka met three times in Sochi and did not agree on Uralkali.

Yesterday the president of Russia Vladimir Putin took part in the session of the Collective Security Treaty Organization in Sochi (CSTO: Armenia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan). The session turned out to be very quick, and the journalists were only interested in the topic of the negotiations between Vladimir Putin and Aliaksandr Lukashenka on Uralkali. This is what the special report of Kommersant’s Andrei Kolesnikov from the sanatorium Rus in Sochi about.

The presidents of the CSTO countries did not look encouraged yesterday. Probably, the gloomy and rainy weather in Sochi influenced their mood. In certain sense, they gave the impression of being doomed. They complained about each other and neighbors. Armenia, or course, complained about Azerbaijan (without the risk of hearing complaints in return). Tajikistan complained that the borders with Afghanistan were protected only by two Mi-2 helicopters (actually not protected, but controlled, and observed from above from time to time). Belarus complained that too much efforts have been spent lately on the fight on cybercrime (Aliaksandr Lukashenka in the meanwhile has grown heavier, and his mustache has grown surprisingly blacker!). Russia complained that there were terroristic acts in the world almost every day.

The leaders of the CSTO countries were supposed to come here to Sochi for their scheduled session, and they did. Having come, they, apparently, were waiting to leave.

Actually, by that time everything that could happen had happened. Which means that Vladimir Putin met Aliaksandr Lukashenka.

It was supposed that they could meet at the summit, but a separate meeting was not scheduled.

In the meanwhile, according to Kommersant, Aliaksandr Lukashenka was on holiday at the sanatorium Belarus for several days (between the residence Bocharov Stream and sanatorium Rus) and managed to schedule a meeting with Vladimir Putin.

Yesterday Aliaksandr Lukashenka mentioned in public that he had discussed mainly international issues with Vladimir Putin, including looking for ways to resolve the Syrian crisis (Aliaksandr Lukashenka cannot stay aside from resolving the most acute modern problems). It was said first of all, apparently,, in order to emphasize: they did not touch upon the family matters (read - Uralkali).

However, according to Kommersant’s courses, part of the evening conversation was on this topic.

But yesterday in the morning Vladimir Putin again met Aliaksandr Lukashenka, and again completely unofficially.

Moreover, after the CSTO session, which went quickly to the common satisfaction of the parties, they met again late in the evening.

We cannot say that they did not discuss the topic again. Kommersant learnt that they had not agreed on anything on this issue. Mr. Lukashenka can be not only tough, but brutal negotiator (but then still sell Beltransgaz 100%).

Now the negotiation is in the stage of brutality. It means that the time of the complete capitulation is close.

- One should understand, - the press-secretary of the Russian president Dmitry Peskov told Kommersant, - that this is not the topic for the two presidents.

Indeed, this is a topic for one president.
