The state leader made the statement during his visit to the enterprise Slutsk Belts.
"They are asking to accept them and we need to think about it,” Interfax-West quotes Lukashenka. “There is no other way – we need to accept some of our brothers and sisters.”
Belarus is ready to accommodate Ukrainian emigrants, Lukashenka said. However, he added: “It would be better if everything was calm there – it would be good both for us and for them.”
The enterprise workers thanked Lukashenka “for peace and quiet in Belarus”.
