The Institute for Economics and Peace has published the third Global Terrorism Index reflecting all the global tendencies and regularity of terrorism.

The index ranges from 0 (minimal influence of terrorism) to 10 (maximal influence).

The research embraces 99.6% of the world population. Most terrorist attacks have been registered in five countries – Iraq (index – 10), Afghanistan (9.23), Nigeria (9.213), Pakistan (9.056) and Syria (8.108). 78% of all terrorism victims died in these countries.
