The Belarusian authorities are concerned about a significant proportion of Russian content in Belarusian mass media reports.

“It cannot but raise concern in the context of our national culture and information security,” Ihar Buzouski, a deputy head of Lukashenka’sadministration, told state-run TV station ONT after the XI International Media Forum ‘Partnership In The Name Of Future: Integration As A Factor Of Creation’.

On the one hand, Buzouski believes that such a proportion of Russian content has its positive effect because ‘the integration of cultures and interaction in many different forms are taking place.’

At the same time, he urges Belarusians to realize that the national television ‘needs to develop creative and political potential’.
