Homel officials have not allowed Rovar Fest that was supposed to be organised in the countryside recreation club Nadzeya on August 13 and 14. Interesting contests for cyclists and everyone else, DJs’ music, a food court and amusements were planned there. A bicycle race from the hypermarket Gippo to the festival was supposed to be organized before the festival.
However, officials decided that the application had been sent with law violations and forbade the festival. All the documents were presented in time and in due form, the organizers say.
A woman phoned the organizers after the refusal and told them that there was no sense in trying to appeal the decision. The festival will not be allowed anyway because it is not in the Executive Committee’s grid, the organizers quoted the woman. Any agitation is forbidden before the parliamentary election, she added later.
