He twitted about the meeting with the head of the Belarusian diplomacy.

The new ambassador of Poland to Belarus, Artur Michalski, has started the service in Minsk. He wrote about it in Belarusian.

“Today, I have presented copies of my credentials to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Uladzimir Makey, and I begin my work as the Ambassador of Poland in Belarus,” wrote Artur Michalski.

Artur Michalski was appointed by the Foreign Minister Jacek Czaputowicz on May 17. A few days later, the candidate was confirmed by President Andrzej Duda.

The new Ambassador of Poland is a graduate of the Warsaw Academy of Catholic Theology. In 1991-96, he was second, and then became the first secretary of the Polish Embassy in Moscow. Later, Michalski headed the Russian department of the Center for Eastern Studies.

In the nineties he worked in the Department of Eastern Europe at the Polish Foreign Ministry. In 2000-2004 he was the first secretary, and then an advisor to the Polish Embassy in Washington. From 2004 to 2006 he worked in the Department of America of the Polish Foreign Ministry. In 2006-2010, he headed the Polish Embassy in Ottawa.

After returning to Warsaw he became deputy director, and later — director of the Eastern Department of the Polish Foreign Ministry.

In 2012-2017, he was the Ambassador of Poland to Moldova.

Artur Michalski replaced Konrad Pawlik, who served in Minsk from March 2016 to January 2018.
