The democratic forces of Belarus are beginning to prepare for the action on Freedom Day.
The initiator of the action on March 25, 2010 is the BPF Party. March 1, the party discussed a possible scenario of the Freedom Day action.
As the chairman of Minsk city organisation of the BPF Party Viktar Ivashkevich said to a correspondent of www.udf.by, this year organisers plan to gather people near the Academy of Sciences and walk to the Gorky Park, where a rally-concert will be organised. Given that March 25 is the first day of campaigning on the elections to local councils, candidates to Minsk City Council will meet with the participants of the rally.
The opposition intends to apply for holding the rally of March 25, said Viktar Ivashkevich. The BPF Party, according to the politician, hopes that the celebration of Freedom Day will be attended by a maximum number of political parties and various organizations.
"This is such an event that should not be carried out single-handedly, although the BPF Party did initiate it. It is important that as many democratic organisations as possible take part in the preparation and holding of the action", said Viktar Ivashkevich.
