Euroradio

Slovak Republic's foreign minister Mikulas Dzurinda said Slovakia might limit contacts with Belarus.

Radio Svaboda reports Dzurinda voiced the goal and principles of his country's foreign policy. It will be based on the principles of democracy and transparency and will be under control of the society. Slovakia's foreign political cause will be based on such traditional European values as the right to life, personal freedom and respect of human dignity.

Slovakia will soon limit contacts with the countries which violate human rights and personal freedoms. As an example, Dzurinda named Belarus and Cuba. He said economic interests should not override the fundamental principles and values.
