Lithuanian social democrats picketed Belarusian Embassy in Vilnius (video)

"Charter-97"

Lithuanian social democrats and youth Christians picketed the Belarusian embassy in Vilnius protesting against Alyaksandr Lukashenka’s visit to Lithuania on September 16.

The pickets gathered about 20 people. Police neither impeded the street actions nor detained its participants.

As we have earlier informed, pickets against Lukashenka’s visit were held near the Lithuanian president’s working residence this morning before negotiations of Alyaksandr Lukashenka and Dalia Grybauskaite.

The protestors said they stood for establishing partner ties with Belarus, but protested against human rights violations in the republic. The picketers met Lukashenka’s motorcade near the Lithuanian president’s palace.
