Debates about the situation in Belarus after the presidential election will take place at a session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe on January 27.
The President of the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe Anne Brasseur sent an appeal to conduct urgent debates about the situation in Belarus on January 13.
The resolution on Belarus is expected to be adopted after the debates. Parliamentarians are urging to introduce severe economic sanctions and to organize a reelection within a year.
