The Belarusian authorities are reported to have drawn up a list of officials of the European Union and the United States who may be barred from entering the country.

The list reportedly contains more than 150 names, including European Parliament President Jerzy Buzek and Jacek Protasiewicz, chairman of the European Parliament's Delegation for Relations with Belarus, who are known for their strong-worded statements regarding Alyaksandr Lukashenka’s regime.

Andrey Savinykh, spokesman for the Belarusian foreign ministry, told BelaPAN on Monday that he could neither confirm nor deny the reports. "I guess I’ll have to comment on this subject in any case, but the question is when. I can’t comment on it now," Mr. Savinykh said.
