Zmitser Bandarenka sent from medical unit to colony

The political prisoner has been denied even the minimal level of rehabilitation, and he might become a disabled person.

Zmitser Bandarenka has sent his wife a very short letter to his wife. The political prisoner had never written such laconic letters to his wife. The letter more reminds a note, and with an almost official subscription, not as usual.

Volha Bandarenka has offered the text of the letter to charter97.org website:

"Well, the liberalization has come. I have been transferred to the quarantine premises. Maybe in the nearest Wednesday, or in a week I would be forwarded to some prisoners party. All promises of the deputy chief of the medical unit that I would be kept in there until the New Year at least, are forgotten. I can say goodbye to my health. But I would not write anything to him [Lukashenka]. That’s the mess we are in. Kisses. Z. Bandarenka".

We remind that while in prison, Zmitser Bandarenka, sentenced to 2 years’ imprisonment after the events of December 19, 2010, underwent a complicated operation on his spine. He was not allowed to have an after-care course and transported to the penal colony in stretchers. There is a high risk that because of absence of the due medical case Bandarenka would become a disabled person. However he refuses to ask for pardon from Lukashenka who retains the power illegally.
