Former chairman of the Supreme Council Stanislav Shushkevich commented on the return of European ambassadors.
- The victory is clearly on the Europe's side. It is only by European solidarity the release of Sannikov and Bondarenko has happened. Political prisoners - this is now the most important question, because the best people in Belarus are sitting without any guilt. I think the ambassadors are more convenient when to come back. If they come back now, it means, it is good as it is.
I am fully convinced, the question of lifting sanctions shouldn't be put until there are other political prisoners. All political prisoners should be released, only then we can talk about some kind of normal contacts with Europe", Stanislav Shushkevich said in an interview with Radio Liberty.
