Belarusian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs meets Štefan Füle

Alena Kupchyna has taken part in the meeting of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the EaP member states in Krakow.

Our country is interested in pragmatic cooperation with the European Union in the Eastern Partnership, the representative of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted in her speech. She also drew attention to "the necessity of sticking to the basic principles of the partnership such as equality and nondiscrimination of members".

Alena Kupchyna met the Lithuanian and Georgian Ministers of Foreign Affairs and European Commissioner Štefan Füle in Krakow, BELTA reports. They discussed cooperation prospects in the Eastern Partnership and the development of Belarus-EU relations.

Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Uladzimir Makei was invited to the meeting but Alena Kupchyna went to Poland instead of him. The decision was taken by the Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs.
