A delegation of the Foreign Ministries of Poland and Sweden will arrive in Minsk on October 24, 2013 for a two-day visit.

Martin Hagstrom, ambassador for the Eastern Partnership and Torbjorn Sohlstrom, Director General for Political Affairs, will represent Sweden, while Beata Peksa, the foreign minister's plenipotentiary for the Eastern Partnership, and Konrad Pawlik, deputy director of the Eastern Department, will represent Poland, the Polish embassy told news agency BelaPAN.

The delegation is expected to have meetings with representatives of the Belarusian Foreign ministry and the Presidential Administration.

On October 21, 2013 a number of media reported that Radosław Sikorski and Carl Bildt, Foregn Ministers of Poland and Sweden respectively, were going to visit the capital of Belarus after publishing article 'Making Europe Whole' written by Messrs Sikorski and Bildt in the run-up to the Eastern Partnership’s summit which is to be held in November 28-29.

"Now — five years later and in the run-up to the third Eastern Partnership Summit in Vilnius — we will embark on a joint trip that will take us and other high-level Swedish and Polish representatives to all the Eastern Partnership capitals: to Chisinau, Kyiv, Tbilisi, Baku, Yerevan and Minsk," – that is the part that mislead representatives of mass media.
