Two young men were arrested by police near Orsha, Vitsyebsk region, for selling miniature Russian flags, according to media reports.

The men, identified as Barysaw residents Maksim Tsikhanaw and Pavel Zhyltsow, were spotted selling the flags by Yawhen Anishchanka, a member of Belarusian Christian Democracy, who subsequently called the police.

The two men, who are both deaf and cannot speak, were brought to a police station where a charge sheet was drawn up against them.

"It transpired that they are supplied with free miniature flags from someone in Russia. They keep all of the proceeds," said Mr. Anishchanka.
